OOW Essentials Terms & Conditions

By using OOW Essentials you agree to these Terms & Conditions and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the application.
2. Purpose of the app
OOW Essentials provides maritime education, calculation, planning and reference tools for officers and students. It is a training and decision-support aid, not approved navigational equipment and not a replacement for official charts, publications, ECDIS, bridge procedures, company instructions or the master's professional judgement.
3. Navigation safety
Do not rely on OOW Essentials as the sole source for a safety-critical navigation decision. Routes, distances, celestial results, UKC, ETA, radio information and other outputs must be checked against current official sources and the vessel's approved procedures before operational use.
4. User responsibility
You are responsible for entering correct data, maintaining an appropriate lookout, applying COLREGs and company procedures, and verifying that any imported route or exported plan is suitable for the vessel, voyage and current conditions.
5. Lifetime Premium
Lifetime Premium is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the app's Premium features for the supported product while the entitlement remains recognised by the applicable store account. Purchases and restoration on Android are handled by Google Play.
6. Availability and changes
Features, datasets, interfaces and training content may be corrected, improved or reorganised in future versions. A lifetime purchase grants continued access to the Premium feature set offered by OOW Essentials; it does not guarantee that every individual tool or external dataset will remain unchanged forever.
7. Intellectual property
The OOW Essentials software, interface, original training material and bundled application data are protected by applicable intellectual-property rights. You may use the application for personal or professional onboard reference, but may not redistribute, resell or republish protected app content except where law expressly permits.
8. No warranty
The application is provided on an "as available" basis. Although reasonable care is taken in calculations and data handling, no software is error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OOW Essentials does not warrant that every result will be complete, current or suitable for a particular voyage or safety-critical purpose.
9. Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, About Marication is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on the app where official navigation sources, required bridge procedures or prudent seamanship should have been used to verify the result. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
