smcp maritime english is a maritime english learning application designed to help users practise standard marine communication phrases, listening, sentence-building, speaking practice, and related maritime training exercises.

information we collect

• learning progress, completed chapters, premium status, lives, energy, timers, and app preferences stored locally on the user’s device
• microphone input when the user actively starts a speaking exercise
• advertising data through google admob for non-premium users
• purchase and subscription status through google play billing
• technical and diagnostic data that may be processed by google play services, admob, billing, android speech recognition, or the user’s device

microphone and speaking practice

the app may request microphone permission for speaking and pronunciation exercises. microphone access is used only when the user starts a speaking exercise. the app uses android speech recognition features to convert speech into text and compare it with the expected training phrase. the app does not intentionally record, store, or upload audio files to our own servers. speech recognition may be processed by android or google speech services depending on the user’s device settings.

• to provide learning features and remember progress
• to operate lives, energy, chapter unlocking, and premium access

advertising

the free version of the app may display advertisements through google admob. admob may collect and process data such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interaction information, diagnostics, and other data used for ad delivery, fraud prevention, analytics, and advertising performance. premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

subscriptions and purchases

premium subscriptions are processed by google play billing. we do not receive or store full payment card details. the app may receive subscription status information from google play so that premium access can be provided.

smcp maritime english may offer an optional premium subscription. premium users may receive unlimited lives and energy, ad-free training, access to all chapters, and access to auxiliary training modules. subscriptions are managed through google play billing and are subject to google play’s payment terms. subscription cancellation, renewal, and refunds are handled by google play.

advertisements

free users may see advertisements provided by google admob. the app does not control the content of third-party advertisements. premium users do not see advertisements.

microphone and speech recognition

some speaking exercises require microphone permission and speech recognition. recognition accuracy may vary by device, accent, background noise, internet connection, and speech service availability. the app is not responsible for recognition errors or training outcomes based on speech recognition results.

educational disclaimer
