OOW Essentials Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to OOW Essentials. The developer/controller is identified as OOW Essentials. Privacy enquiries can be submitted through About Marication contact method shown on the OOW Essentials Google Play listing.
2. Data we do not collect
OOW Essentials does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics SDKs. The app does not request access to precise or approximate location, camera, microphone, contacts, call logs, SMS, or broad photo/media/storage libraries.
3. Local app data
Free-use counters, the cached Lifetime Premium entitlement and legal-consent version are stored locally on your device. This local information is used only to operate app access and remember your choices. Clearing app data or uninstalling the app may remove local trial counters and consent state.
4. Route files and exports
When you choose a route file, Android's system file picker gives the app access only to the file you selected. The selected route is processed on the device. PDF or other exports are written only to a location you choose. OOW Essentials does not upload these files to its own server.
5. Google Play Billing
Lifetime Premium purchases are processed by Google Play. Google may process account, payment and transaction information under Google's own terms and privacy policy. OOW Essentials receives purchase/product status needed to unlock Premium, but does not receive your full payment-card details.
6. Sharing
OOW Essentials does not sell personal data. The app does not send your route files, celestial calculations or training activity to an OOW Essentials server. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play as described above.
7. Security
The Android app disables cleartext traffic and uses platform storage for local app state. User-selected files are handled through Android's system document picker rather than broad storage permission.
8. Retention and deletion
Local app data remains on the device until it is overwritten, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled. Because OOW Essentials does not create a user account or maintain an OOW Essentials cloud profile in this version, there is no server-side account record to delete. Google Play purchase records are controlled by Google under its own retention rules.
9. Children
OOW Essentials is a professional maritime education and navigation-reference application and is not designed specifically for children.
10. Changes
If this policy materially changes, the app can require acknowledgement of a new policy version before continuing. The effective date shown above identifies the current version.
