These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the Inspecdon Maritime Inspection mobile application and its related subscription, licence, reporting and vessel-synchronisation features. By downloading, accessing, purchasing or using Inspecdon, you agree to these Terms.

Where you use Inspecdon on behalf of a vessel operator, ship manager, employer or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to use the application for that organisation. For enquiries, contact marication@gmail.com.

1. Description of Inspecdon

Inspecdon is a maritime inspection-readiness, checklist, evidence-recording, reporting and vessel-coordination application. Features may include department-based preparation checklists, completion tracking, notes, evidence photographs, custom checklist items, Excel reports, offline operation, nearby-device synchronisation, local vessel announcements, Google Play subscriptions, individual licences, vessel licences, device-seat management and fleet or company licensing.

2. Independent Application

Inspecdon is an independent application. Inspecdon is not operated, sponsored, endorsed, approved or certified by OCIMF, the SIRE Programme, CDI, any Port State Control authority, any Flag State administration, any classification society, any charterer, any oil major or any official maritime inspection body. All third-party names, standards and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Inspection-Readiness Tool Only

Inspecdon is intended to assist with organisation and inspection preparation. It is not an official inspection, an official inspection report, an OCIMF inspection application, a replacement for the vessel’s Safety Management System, a substitute for professional maritime judgement, applicable regulations, company procedures, manufacturer instructions, class or Flag State requirements, or a guarantee of a successful inspection.

Users must independently verify all applicable requirements. Where application content conflicts with legislation, official guidance, company procedures, manufacturer instructions or a lawful instruction from the Master, the applicable official requirement takes priority.

4. No Guarantee of Results

Inspecdon does not guarantee that a vessel will pass an inspection, every deficiency will be identified, an inspector will accept a checklist item, an inspection will contain no observations, a vessel will avoid detention, a charterer will accept the vessel, a particular vetting result will be achieved or the application contains every requirement relevant to a vessel.

Responsibility for vessel safety, compliance, maintenance, documentation, crew competence and inspection readiness remains with the vessel owner, operator, manager, Master and responsible personnel.

5. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for lawful and authorised use, verifying entered information, confirming checklist applicability, following official requirements and company procedures, obtaining permission before taking photographs, protecting confidential vessel information, reviewing reports before distribution, controlling activation codes, approving only authorised devices, removing old or lost devices, protecting exported files, maintaining appropriate backups and confirming successful synchronisation.

6. Prohibited Use

Users must not circumvent subscription restrictions, modify the application to unlock paid features, share a personal plan beyond its permitted scope, activate devices beyond the applicable limit, sell or publicly distribute vessel activation codes, access another vessel’s information without authority, interfere with licence verification, introduce malicious software, use the application for unlawful surveillance, photograph prohibited or restricted areas, distribute information without authority, create a safety or cyber-security risk or misrepresent Inspecdon as an official inspection authority.

7. Free Plan

The Free plan provides limited preview access and may include approximately 15–20 selected Bridge checklist items, local completion tracking for the available preview items and access to view available paid plans. It does not include full Bridge, Engine, Cargo, Safety, Security, Accommodation or Documentation access, full custom checklist functionality, Excel report export, Vessel Sync, vessel announcements, multi-device collaboration or vessel licence activation.

8. Pro Individual

Pro Individual is intended for one individual user. It may include full department access, full Bridge access, notes, evidence photographs, custom checklist functions, Excel report export, offline use and other individual premium features displayed before purchase. Pro Individual does not include Vessel Pro’s ten-device licence and, unless otherwise displayed, is limited to one active Inspecdon device.

9. Vessel Pro

Vessel Pro is intended for one named vessel. It may include all Pro Individual features, up to ten active authorised devices, Vessel Sync, shared checklist progress, nearby photograph and note transfer, local vessel announcements, device activity information, an activation code and device-removal functionality.

The purchaser or licence administrator is responsible for entering correct vessel information, protecting the activation code, sharing it only with authorised personnel, reviewing active devices, removing former crew or lost devices and ensuring that the licence is used only for the licensed vessel. Nearby or Bluetooth connection does not by itself create a valid licence entitlement.

10. Ten-Device Limit

A Vessel Pro licence permits a maximum of ten active authorised devices unless a different limit is expressly agreed. The first activated device occupies one seat and each additional activated device occupies another. When all ten seats are occupied, an additional device may be refused until an existing device is removed or another applicable licence is obtained. Removing the application from a device may not automatically release its licence seat.

11. Fleet and Company Licences

Fleet or company licences may be provided under separate commercial terms. Fleet features may include multiple vessel licences, custom device limits, company-managed access, central checklist distribution, fleet reporting, administrative controls and additional support. Where a separate written company agreement conflicts with these Terms, the written agreement takes priority for the relevant organisation.

12. Google Play Subscriptions

Individual and Vessel Pro subscriptions may be sold through Google Play. The price, billing period, currency, tax, trial and available offer are displayed by Google Play at the time of purchase. Inspecdon retrieves available subscription details from Google Play and does not guarantee that the same price or offer will be available in every country or at every time.

Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before the next billing date. Deleting the application does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription.

13. Trials and Promotional Offers

Inspecdon or Google Play may provide free trials, introductory prices, promotional periods, vessel pilot periods or founding-customer offers. Eligibility, duration and renewal conditions are displayed before purchase. A trial or discounted subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the stated renewal date.

14. Cancellation

Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled through Google Play. After cancellation, access may continue until the end of the current paid billing period. When a subscription expires, paid features may be restricted, Vessel Sync and report generation may be disabled and the application may revert to Free access. Existing local information may remain on the device.

15. Payment Failure and Grace Period

Where Google Play reports a payment failure, grace period, account hold, cancellation or expiry, premium access may be restricted according to the current subscription status. Inspecdon may allow temporary access during an applicable Google Play grace period and may require an internet connection to receive updated subscription status.

16. Refunds

Google Play purchases and refund requests are handled according to Google Play policies and applicable consumer law. Inspecdon does not guarantee refunds for unused subscription time, failure to cancel before renewal, local-data loss caused by device failure, failure to export data, loss of an activation code, lack of vessel internet access, device incompatibility outside Inspecdon’s control or failure to remove an old device. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

17. Licence Verification

Premium access may require verification through Inspecdon’s licensing service. The licensing service may confirm whether a subscription is valid, which plan is active, which vessel licence applies, how many devices are active, whether a device has been removed and whether offline access may continue. Inspecdon may refuse or remove access where a purchase cannot be verified, a subscription has expired, a payment has been refunded, a purchase token is invalid, the device limit has been exceeded, an activation code is misused, fraud is suspected or these Terms are materially breached.

18. Offline Access

Inspecdon is designed to support vessel operations with limited internet connectivity. After successful verification, premium access may continue offline for a limited licence period. Periodic internet access may be required to refresh the licence, confirm subscription status, register or remove a device, restore a purchase or receive an updated revocation status.

19. Nearby Synchronisation

Vessel Sync may use Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Nearby Connections or related local technology. Synchronisation may be affected by device compatibility, Android permissions, distance, radio interference, battery-saving settings, storage, application-version differences, operating-system restrictions or user actions. Inspecdon does not guarantee that synchronisation will always be immediate, complete or uninterrupted. Users must verify that required information has successfully transferred before relying on it.

20. Local Data and Backups

Checklist records, photographs and notes may exist only on the user’s device or on authorised nearby vessel devices. Inspecdon does not provide cloud backup for this information. Inspecdon is not responsible for local information lost because of device damage, device loss, application deletion, clearing application storage, operating-system failure, storage corruption, unsuccessful transfer or failure to export a report.

21. Photographs and Vessel Restrictions

The camera feature does not grant permission to photograph a vessel, terminal, document or workplace. Users must comply with the Master’s instructions, company procedures, port and terminal restrictions, vessel security procedures, confidentiality requirements, data-protection requirements and applicable laws.

22. Reports

Excel and other reports are generated from information entered by users. Users must review reports before relying on, submitting or sharing them. Inspecdon does not guarantee that a generated report is complete, error-free, accepted by an inspector, accepted by a vessel operator or charterer, suitable as an official record or compliant with every internal company format.

23. Vessel Announcements

The announcement feature is intended for routine local vessel communication. It is not an emergency alarm, distress system, GMDSS function, substitute for the vessel’s public-address system, substitute for official safety communication or guaranteed to deliver messages immediately. Critical or emergency information must be communicated using the vessel’s approved systems and procedures.

24. User Content

Users or their relevant organisations retain their rights in notes, photographs, custom checklist items, vessel information, announcements, completion records and exported reports. Users confirm that they have authority to create, store, transfer and share such information.

25. Intellectual Property

The Inspecdon application, software, interface, branding, original design and original application content are owned by or licensed to Inspecdon Maritime Inspection. Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable right to use the application for its intended purpose. Third-party standards, names and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

26. Updates

Inspecdon may release updates to correct errors, improve security, improve compatibility, update checklist content, add or remove features, change subscription presentation, improve Vessel Sync or comply with legal or Google Play requirements.

27. Service Availability

Inspecdon aims to provide reliable offline and online functionality but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Online licence functions may be temporarily unavailable because of server maintenance, Google Play outages, internet interruption, security incidents, hosting-provider outages or circumstances outside Inspecdon’s reasonable control.

28. Suspension and Termination

Inspecdon may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of subscription expiry, non-payment, refund or chargeback, fraudulent use, unauthorised licence sharing, device-limit abuse, security threats, illegal activity, material breach of these Terms or a valid legal requirement.

29. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inspecdon is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Inspecdon does not warrant that every checklist item is current or applicable, every deficiency will be identified, synchronisation will always succeed, local information will never be lost, the application will operate on every device, the application will be continuously available, every report will meet company requirements or use of the application will result in a successful inspection.

30. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Inspecdon Maritime Inspection will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from a failed or adverse inspection, vessel detention, delay, loss of charter, loss of revenue, loss of profit, operational interruption, loss of local information, failed synchronisation, user-entered errors, unauthorised photographs, unauthorised report distribution, reliance on outdated information or failure to follow official requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.

31. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect new features, subscription changes, security requirements, legal requirements, business changes or changes to Google Play policies. The revised Terms will display an updated “Last updated” date.

32. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
